51Talk (NYSE: COE) is one of Asia's largest online English teaching platforms. It connects learners — mainly in China — with Filipino English teachers for one-on-one online classes via their app.

You need: (1) a bachelor's degree in any field, (2) strong English communication skills, (3) a stable internet connection (10 Mbps+ recommended), (4) a quiet teaching space with good lighting, (5) a laptop/desktop with webcam and headset, and (6) Philippine citizenship or residency.

No. A teaching license is not required. A TEFL/TESOL certificate is an advantage but not mandatory. Your English fluency and demo class performance matter most.

You set your own availability. Peak demand is during Philippine mornings (6–10 AM) and evenings (7–10 PM) when Chinese students are most active. You can open as few or as many time slots as you want.

51Talk pays weekly via direct bank transfer to Philippine bank accounts. Your earnings from the week are released on a set payout schedule.

We guide you through the entire process: document requirements, creating your profile, submitting your application, and most importantly — coaching you on your demo class so you pass with confidence. All for free.

You can retry after a waiting period. We'll review what happened, coach you on what to improve, and help you prepare for your next attempt. Our coaching significantly improves pass rates.

Our VAs are trained in: administrative support, social media management, data entry and research, customer service (email/chat), email/inbox management, content writing, e-commerce support, and basic graphic design. If you have a specific need, just ask — we'll find the right match.

Rates depend on the VA's experience and the tasks required. Part-time VAs typically start at $3–$6/hour. Full-time, experienced VAs can range from $500–$1,200/month. We'll discuss rates based on your specific needs during the matching process.

After you submit your request, we typically present 1–2 vetted VA candidates within 2–5 business days. You then interview and choose, and onboarding can begin immediately after.

Yes. We encourage a paid trial period (typically 1–2 weeks) where you can assess the VA's fit before committing to a long-term arrangement. This protects both sides.

Absolutely. We provide training, mentorship, and profile-building support for beginners. What matters most is your attitude, reliability, and English communication skills.

Payment arrangements are agreed upon between the VA and the client directly. Common methods include GCash, PayPal, Wise, or direct bank transfer. AID Virtual does not withhold or take a cut from VA earnings.
